Maybe I'm missing something that other reviewers have seen but I didn't enjoy this book as I'd hoped。 It has some fantastic bright， colourful pages full of fun illustrations and some rhyming fun but I just didn't get it！ Maybe I'd be better off trying the others prior to this and maybe I'd have a better understanding of the characters but even the little girl next door didn't seem all that impressed and this is aimed at her age range！！ Sadly not quite what I'd expected or what I'd hoped it would Maybe I'm missing something that other reviewers have seen but I didn't enjoy this book as I'd hoped。 It has some fantastic bright， colourful pages full of fun illustrations and some rhyming fun but I just didn't get it！ Maybe I'd be better off trying the others prior to this and maybe I'd have a better understanding of the characters but even the little girl next door didn't seem all that impressed and this is aimed at her age range！！ Sadly not quite what I'd expected or what I'd hoped it would be。。。maybe I'll find the first book and take it from there！ 。。。more

Another great book！ We love this series in our house and my 8 year old still loves them， he even reads them to his baby brother now。 A great addition to the series。

We're really big fans of the Oi！ series and whilst this one might not have been as strong as the previous entries in the series， both Kes Gray， Jim Field and the various animals prove there's plenty of life left in this simple and effective rhymes。The illustrations are bright and colourful and seeing where all the mischievous puppies are placed makes for some laugh out loud fun。 We're really big fans of the Oi！ series and whilst this one might not have been as strong as the previous entries in the series， both Kes Gray， Jim Field and the various animals prove there's plenty of life left in this simple and effective rhymes。The illustrations are bright and colourful and seeing where all the mischievous puppies are placed makes for some laugh out loud fun。 。。。more

Another fantastic book to add to the series！ Beautiful， vibrant illustrations with humor from our friends from previous tales the frog， the cat and the dog！ Suitable for all ages but particularly those in reception/ Key Stage one for phonics and rhyming。

Oh， no - puppies！ And poorly trained puppies！！ Poor Dog looks so browbeaten by all the rambunctiousness。 And then all the faces at the end！I love this whole series！ The illustrations are clever and tongue-in-cheek - so much expression in the animals' faces and so many fun little details in their clothes and accessories。 How can you not chuckle at a Delivery Duck？ And each book has their own punchline at the end of all the rhyming - even as an adult， it's much fun to read。 How they build on each Oh， no - puppies！ And poorly trained puppies！！ Poor Dog looks so browbeaten by all the rambunctiousness。 And then all the faces at the end！I love this whole series！ The illustrations are clever and tongue-in-cheek - so much expression in the animals' faces and so many fun little details in their clothes and accessories。 How can you not chuckle at a Delivery Duck？ And each book has their own punchline at the end of all the rhyming - even as an adult， it's much fun to read。 How they build on each other makes for some fun reading too。 Definitely a fun storytime read for rhyming and animals。Note: this series is definitely a British one。 Sometimes the slang （lilo） shows it， and sometimes it's in the pronunciations to make the rhymes。 Neither here nor there， but something to note for US readers。 。。。more

Oh Puppies！ I did not enjoy you as much as I enjoyed all the preceding Oi books。 Too much of the book was setting up the rhyme-fest and naming all the puppies is a more artificial business than finding a rhyme for a duck-billed platypus。 However， I still got my laugh out loud when "Cheeky is on some tzatziki" and there was nice touches such as the Oi Animal Seating Supply Company and the frog asking to have everything delivered "on the next page please" I left the book for a while and then had a Oh Puppies！ I did not enjoy you as much as I enjoyed all the preceding Oi books。 Too much of the book was setting up the rhyme-fest and naming all the puppies is a more artificial business than finding a rhyme for a duck-billed platypus。 However， I still got my laugh out loud when "Cheeky is on some tzatziki" and there was nice touches such as the Oi Animal Seating Supply Company and the frog asking to have everything delivered "on the next page please" I left the book for a while and then had a re-read and enjoyed it more， taking in more of Jim Field's illustrations - Frog's swimming trunks are worth keeping an eye on。 The three main characters are always a pleasure。 。。。more

We thought that Oi Duck-Billed Platypus！ was fabulous but this latest offering from Kes Gray and Jim Field is really something special。 Once again， the rhymes are silly， nonsensical and hilarious。 The mischievous puppies are a lot to handle and your readers will laugh out loud at their escapades。 It’s a great deal of fun to read this in a group。

Thank you so much to Hachette Children’s Books for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review。I'm not even entirely sure who was more excited about receiving this next instalment in the Oi Frog series - my daughter or me， it was pretty close  I feel fairly qualified to review and recommend this one， after reading it approximately 17 billion times already， because my daughter's night time story request has just become "Oi Puppies！  Oi Puppies again！"。  The whole family Thank you so much to Hachette Children’s Books for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review。I'm not even entirely sure who was more excited about receiving this next instalment in the Oi Frog series - my daughter or me， it was pretty close  I feel fairly qualified to review and recommend this one， after reading it approximately 17 billion times already， because my daughter's night time story request has just become "Oi Puppies！  Oi Puppies again！"。  The whole family adores the silly rhyming fun in these books， and the equally funny illustrations。  Dog is a little overwhelmed with his baby sitting responsibilities - he may have taken on a few too many puppies。  They're everywhere， even on cat's head， and no-one knows what to do。 But Frog jumps in with a plan to save everyone's sanity。  With cameo appearances from characters we loved in the previous Oi books， Oi Puppies is laugh out loud funny and one you won't mind reading over and over again！I'd highly recommend every one of the books in the Oi series， no matter your child's age。  There's something in them for everyone to enjoy！MY BLOG ~ INSTAGRAM 。。。more
